Univoxbox Brought to You by Influenster

As I've said many times before I am a badge carrying member of Influenster Nation. Influenster is a review driven website that lets you earn badges in specific categories.  Once you've reached a certain score you may become eligible for their testing program called Voxbox. A voxbox can be one of two things, brand or themed related.  Up until now I have only received brand centered boxes, which have included a toothbrush, shoe insoles, makeup and dish soap.  Now I know what you're thinking "OMG how lucky are  you!", no you thought the same thing I did which was "that's lame". The only thing I am thoroughly happy with was my Dr. Scholls Active Insoles . Everything else was just okay. The UniVoxbox however, is my first themed box. I'm guessing from the name that the target audience is college students. While I am not a college student I still received the box. Although I wouldn't say its directly targeted for anyone other than women.  While ...

Brush. Whiten. Go! Brought to you by Influenster

In Febrary I was selected to reeive another voxbox from Influenster.  If you don't know about Influenster, it's a website where you can review products, unlock badges, and be selected for their testing program called "voxbox". Voxbox is a free program where you take a pre-qualification survey and if you qualify you'll receive a brand or themed box. This is my fourth box, so far I've only received brand only boxes.  Meaning I've never gotten a specialty themed box. This particular box was from Colgate Optic White & I got to try their new Brush. Whiten. Go toothbrush. In their newest addition to the Optic White line, (which already includes toothpaste, mouthwash, and other toothbrushes) they have decided to branch out into the whitening pen market. Also included in my kit were several coupons and a travel size of Optic White toothpaste.  I have used this toothpaste before and discontinued use after I noticed a sensitivity developing in my teeth.  F...

Dr. Scholl's Actives for Her (Brought to you by Influenster)

Time for another Influenster review! This time its a one product review box, I've only done these for Influenster. I know some people get the themed Voxboxes with all the fun goodies, but I tend to only qualify for the one brand review ones. Its all good though, I still enjoy them and love trying free stuff! Even if I do end up giving it all away like I did my Mary Kay stuff (sans the Lash Primer). For this box I qualified to receive a free pair of Dr. Scholl's Active Series Inserts for Her. They retail for $19.99 at Target and $24.99 at Walgreens.  A little pricey for just one pair of insoles, but then again if you work out a lot or are just a sneaker fan in general, you may want to invest in a pair of quality insoles; not only for comfort, but also to extend the life of your sneaks (trainers, for those across the pond). The 'Her' insoles will be for shoe sizes 5.5-8 & 8.5-11, and the 'Him' insoles will fit 7.5-10 & 10.5-13. They are easy to be shap...

Getting the Mary Kay Look!

Yay free makeup to try! Woo woo! So excited for this post. I love trying new things and I especially love trying new makeup (I'm kind of a makeup hoarder), and even more excited to be trying a brand that I never have before. As I've said before Influenster is a program where you can take surveys, write reviews on products, and participate in giveaways in order to earn badges. Once you reach a certain level you qualify for Voxboxes. They are absolutely free boxes that you receive from Influenster and various companies, in turn you review the box and its contents. Now that being said my box was entitled 'The Glamour Look by Mary Kay' and I it was filled with some of Mary Kay's top selling products. In my box: eye shadow mascara lash primer brush lipstick Five solid products that I'm sure will have no problem fitting into my already overcrowded train case and varied makeup routine. Product Run Down & First Impressions: Lash Love Lengthening Mas...

Palmolive soft touch Dish Soap (brought to you by Influenster)

I participate in Influenster and like BzzAgent it is a site that allows you to review products, participate in surveys, and connect with social media in order to gain perks. The perk part of Influenster is called Voxbox, which is a free box courtesy of them and the particular sponsor which contains one or more new products to try. In turn for trying, you are supposed to spread the word and be a positive "influence" on the product. Its a very good system, but in order to qualify for the box you have to pass the "test" which is a survey; if you pass you are then invited to participate or sometimes just selected to participate. I was invited to sample a new household product which was going to "change the way I completed my daily routine". Now I was very excited to be chosen and to be able to try anything new (i.e. free), but I must say I was rather disappointed when I read the tagline on the email and it said "pots & pans". My smile droppe...
