The Gleam Team ~March 2017 Sephora Play!~

Just sitting here on a rainy day catching up on some blog posts (I seriously need to do this) avoiding packing for my upcoming trip while binge-watching Outlander Season 2. It's Watchathon week on Xfinity and I am taking full advantage on my next 2 days off. I've got 3 book reviews coming up after this and then another post on a special little event that I'm going too. Lot's of good things coming up this month! Until then let's hear about the starting lineup for The Gleam Team! Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer (Full-size $49): Ahh my monthly moisturizer sample. I wasn't necessarily excited to try this because I knew it was going to look super illuminating. While using this for a week I noticed that my skin was getting extremely red and starting to break out. Then while masking this past Sunday I noticed how sensitive my skin got. My skin doesn't irritate easily, so I'm not 100% sure if it w as this or a primer I've been using...

February 2017 Sephora Play The Soft Side

The last subscription box standing. I hope you like it Sephora Play! You volunteered as tribute and have been declared the victor. Just wait for the quarter quell that will be coming in a month or two. BTW have I ever told you I LOVE The Hunger Games?  Clinique Pep-Start Hydroblur Moisturizer (Full-size $29.50): I'm on a quest to try everything I get in my box at least 3x before I review it and I have now been using this for about a week. This is something I had my eye on trying, so I'm happy that I got it. It's an interesting texture of a moisturizer. It almost feels like a pore filling primer mixed with a moisturizer. I'm really into this. Final Grade: B+ Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Quench Lip Rescue in Nude (Full-size $19): I'm not really into this. I'm not sure why, it's just an okay thing for me. It is really moisturizing, but the color isn't as saturated as I'd like (even though I know it's supposed to be sheer) and there's j...

Beauty, Set, Go ~Sephora Play! January 2017!~

Welcome to 2017! Hopefully everything goes well and I'll be able to keep my promise of growing this blog and being better prepared. I really want to commit to this and I'm willing to do it! Hopefully this post is off to a good start. And now onto the show... tarte FRXXXTION Stick (Full-size $22): I love this! I was really interested in trying this, but I was also extremely skeptical about a stick cleanser. I've heard YouTubers rave about this, but again I didn't want to pay over 20 bucks for a cleanser. I was wrong I will totally be paying $22 for a cleanser! I read one review that said this was messy, and I'm not sure how they were using it because it isn't messy at all. You wet your face, rub the stick onto face, then use fingers to scrub in cleanser, rinse. Fairly simple and it has a fantastic result. I think this will replace my current exfoliator that I use twice a week (because it has microbeads and I don't wanna hurt the fishies), once I run out o...

The Partygoers ~December 2016 Sephora Play!~

Here it is, the final subscription box review of 2016, in 2017. It's gonna take me awhile to get back into the swing of writing and reading again. I'm really working on it because one of my goals for the year is to focus on this blog. I'm working on redesigning everything and really getting my act together. Like I said I have big things planned for us this year. For now though let's relive the month of December in the form of my all time favorite subscription box, Sephora Play! Lancome Hypnose Drama Instant Full Body Volume Mascara (Full-size $27.50): Does anyone really like this mascara? I've always been kind of eh on Lancome mascaras in general. I'm jealous that the other box variation got the Bobbi Brown Smokey mascara because I've heard it's a wonder in a tube. This has an S shaped wand and I never thought it did a good job at defining my lashes. I'm picky with mascara's so I need definition and body. Not so much length because I've...

Best in Glow ~Sephora Play! November 2016

I've come to realize that Sephora Play is definitely my favorite box. I've already decided that I will be cancelling my Allure box and perhaps picking up Ipsy or another box, still undetermined on that. November was a pretty good month, I've actually incorporated one of the products into my daily routine, so I always found that to be a win. I'm not sure if any of these are standout winners in my yearly roundup of all the products I've received, but we shall see. For now, enjoy! Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet (Full-size $39): Seriously I get way too many moisturizers in subscription boxes. This is something I would love to never get again. I've tried Vinosource before and it's a fine moisturizer, I just don't want to open it right now. Final Grade: TBD Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel in Pin Up Pink (Full-size $12): I'm kind of over the matte trend, so I'm happy to get a gloss. I like that they're including a Sephora Col...

My Final Two Allure Beauty Boxes ~November & December 2016~

Info: I wrote this mid-December. I know I'm a terrible blogger Because I'm lazy and don't particularly care about this box anymore November and December will be combined. We're waist deep in the holiday season and I'm feeling cheerful, but not cheerful enough for me to write two separate posts. Plus neither of them are that exciting. So here we go the last two months of Allure. November- Party Central Red Flower Icelandic Moonflower Moisturizing Body Lotion (Full-size $26): This smelled like a very heavy floral, it kind of smelled like lilac's, but not enough that I wanted to throw it across the room. It was very thick though, I had a hard time getting it out of tube, but nothing a couple of shakes couldn't fix. It was a decent lotion, but I was happy to get rid of it. I'm picky when it comes to body lotion. Final Grade: C+ Bulgaria Omnia Crystalline (Full-size $82): Alright, this time around I knew how to open the bottle. I liked the coral...
