My Top 10 Faves of 2012 + 2 Runner Up Prizes Part 2

Okay book lovers here is part 2 of my faves for the year. So fitting that I'm writing and posting this on New Years Eve. The Mob Doctor is boring me, so I figured I'd get started. I'm going to start this post off with my second Consolation Prize and here we go... First Runner Up: The Wicked Series by Janet Evanovich "You're life isn't out of control, its expanded." In between my Stephanie Plum binge and waiting to get a copy of Smokin' Seventeen from my local libby. Sidenote: Use your library people! The books are free and most library's operate on a network of local libraries so you will almost always be able to find what you're looking for. Did I mention they're free? As I was scanning the shelves I came across Janet Evanovich's Wicked Appetite . Instantly recognizing Evanovich as my new favorite author (she writes the Stephanie Plum series), I decided to give this a shot. I absolutely loved it from the first page. The series ce...

Notorious Nineteen by Janet Evanovich Review

Notorious Nineteen is the 19th novel  in the Stephanie Plum series by Evanovich and the 23rd book overall in the series. I was first introduced to the thought of reading Stephanie Plum when my Nook suggested it. And then the trailer for One for the Money starring Katherine Heigl hit my airwaves. I love me a good Katherine Heigl movie, so I decided to buckle down and read the first book. I read it in one sitting, before I knew it was 11 at night and I had 30 pages left in the book. Weird right? I'm almost never that fully engrossed in a book, but Evanovich had me hooked. The main character of the series is Stephanie Plum, a 30 something year old former lingerie buyer, turned bounty hunter. She's also a walking disaster. If its bad and it can happen its probably either already happened to Stephanie or it will happen to her. Especially cars blowing up, I don't know who's insuring this girl, but I'm pretty sure that even Flo at Progressive would show this chick the do...

My Top 10 Faves of 2012 + 2 Runner Up Prizes Part 1

Since I'm not done with Stephanie Plum yet I thought I'd do a quick wrap up of the books I've read this year. And trust me I've read A LOT of books so I'm pretty qualified to make this decision. So I've scanned through my Goodreads list and I've come up with a little list. Its random, and not all the books were published this year. That doesn't matter though because I read them this year, and that's the whole point of the list. Got it? Good, lets begin shall we... 10. Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard  "I'm still here bitches and I know everything. - A"  I'm obsessed with Pretty Little Liars the TV show so I decided to get in on the books and I must admit, they're almost as addicting as the show. Sometimes, they are hit or miss. One thing you have to get used to is its not like the TV show if you're an uber fan like me. I do enjoy traveling to Rosewood and the scandalous lives of these four girls. Almost every book e...

Welcome, we're now dating.

We are now a couple. Mark this day on your calendar's people because now we're going to be celebrating this as our anniversary forever more. Don't worry I'll probably forget about it 3 months from now, its only child syndrome we get bored easily. So don't feel bad when you forget to get me that new Urban Decay Palette I've been lusting over.  If however, you are searching for a gift, something you could always give me is a book. Books are everyone's friend. Why do you think the Monk's starting writing them in the first place? Actually I don't know if that's true, I might be confusing it with them making beer. Anywho we're gonna talk about books! OMG its so exciting, its somewhere in between shoveling snow after a nor'easter and an all day Cheers marathon. (Don't roll your eyes, Cheers is amazing. I'm watching it right now and you would too if you knew what channel it was on).  If you're like me and you rather enjoy literar...
